INTERNAL AUDITOR POST
WAZO HILL SACCOS LTD is among the leading Savings and Credit Cooperative Society in
Tanzania. The society was established in 1993 by 500 workers from Tanzania Portland cement
Company (Twiga Cement). It has since grown to an asset base of 10 billion with its offices
located at Tegeta Dar es Salaam.
WAZO HILL SACCOS, invites applications from suitably qualified, highly motivated, team
player and result driven candidate for consideration to fill the position of Internal Auditor
Purpose of the Job
- Carrying out independent test of controls in order to provide assurance that WAZO HILL
SACCOS policies and procedures are carried out in an orderly and efficient manner in
order to accomplish its objectives.
- Ensuring that a comprehensive control environment exists by vetting business processes
and internal control to ensure they mitigate potential business risks
Key Responsibilities
The Internal Auditor will be responsible for:
- Preparing internal audit plan for the year
- Assessing the business risk exposure and make recommendation to management for
improvements
- Reviewing WAZO HILL SACCOS systems and procedures to ensure compliance with
regulators, BY LAWS and other stake holders.
- Monitoring changes in the internal audit practices and recommend the same to
management for implementation
- Testing the accuracy, completeness and authorization of business transactions to assess
whether they support business objectives of the Society.
- Works with team to achieve Saccos goals.

Qualifications:
- Holder of Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma in Accountancy or related field from
recognized institution.
- Must be CPA (T) holder.
- At least three years working experiences as an Auditor in reputable institution, working in
banking sector will be an added advantage.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Auditing accounting system software or financial solution system
will be an added advantage.
- Must be registered by NBAA.
